Sätky was founded in 1997 and its membership consists of electrical engineering students of LUT-University. One can easily recognize the guild members of their green student overalls.

The purpose of the guild is to promote the interests of its members within the university community and unify electrical engineering students by organizing different events either alone or with other guilds of LUT-University.

The guild also stays in contact with electrical engineering guilds from other places and cooperate study related issues with electrical engineering degree programme staff members. Business relations are well maintained in various ways, for example by organizing particular amount of excursions annually that are directed towards the most interesting businesses related to electrical engineering field.
